Alli the Book Giraffe

Hello readers! I have a post that I’ve done a few years now, but with a little twist. I am putting out there 24 indie books I really hope to get to in 2024. All of these books are on Kindle Unlimited except the first author.

I’m also hoping by making this post that you guys will find an indie author or two that you haven’t heard of, but would like to try. I love helping indie authors! More than half of my reads this year have come from them.

Let me know what is your favorite indie author! I’ll add one of their books to my TBR.

This is an Australian author whose book I was sent by a different indie author through my Amazon wishlist. Book two is out, so I will eventually get that one, too. This is a spicy, dark fantasy romance series.

I’m mutuals with this author on Booktok and I’ve wanted to try her books for a while now, but just haven’t mad time. Book two just came out this month and I cannot wait to read them both.

A really easy way to get me to add a book to my TBR is to compare it to Black Mirror, which is exactly what these authors did.

My husband was interested in this book series and he asked me to try it before he reads it, so I’m at least going to try book 1. All I know about it is there are vampires and zombies.

This one is the first book in a long alien romance series. I have almost read it so many times and then it keeps getting pushed back. I really hope to get to it at some point in 2024!

I honestly cannot wait to try Ana Huang. She is a really popular author on Booktok, but is also an indie author. Actually, a lot of the most popular books over there are indie.

I want to try Twisted Love first, but I wouldn’t mind delving into the King of Sin series.

Twisted Love is a brother’s best friend/opposites attract romance with a hint of suspense. King of Wrath is a steamy billionaire/arranged marriage romance.

I’ve ARC read for this author twice now and she has a book that came before that, so I need to read it!

So far, there is only one book in this series, but two more are coming out next year. I really need to try it before then. Also, the MC on the cover looks very similar to the author.

I really love the Monstrous Deals series by this author, so I want to try her other series. It’s a spicy alien romance.

Speaking of alien romance, I really need to try the most popular one out there. Ice Planet Barbarians is over 20 books long, so I wouldn’t be getting through it anything soon.

One of the biggest authors on Booktok is Lauren Asher. As y’all know, I read her Dreamland Billionares series and honestly cannot wait to read more from her.

Love Redesign takes place in the same place the last Dreamland Billionares book did.

I also really want to try her series that came before Dreamland because I just loved that series so much. She could be a favorite author of mine one day for sure.

I really want to make my way through Kenney’s backlist in 2024. I have read 5 of her books now and she has become one of my favorite authors I’ve ever read.

She writes spicy, fantasy retellings of many different stories and I honestly was tired of retellings before reading her books. I’m excited for whatever she writes, to be honest.
