The Sunday Post #20

Hello readers! It’s Sunday again. I feel like this month has flown by. I am so ready for it, though. I already bought all my gifts for Christmas and wrapped them. Before my SD came to live with us, my husband and I would buckle and gift each other before the day. This year, myself, my husband, and my BIL all broke down and told each other what we got. I know I’m getting 10 books! And, my BIL is getting me a gift card to buy more books.

I knew I was getting books from my husband, though. I gave him my phone to delete books from my Amazon wishlist as he bought them. I just didn’t know which books he got at the time.

I’m sorry I haven’t been very active this week on here! I burnt myself out on reading and was busy doing homeschool stuff.

Life Update

I was trying to read too many books by the end of this year and just kind of gave up for a few days.

I also fell down a homeschool tik tok rabbit hole. I didn’t realize how unique my homeschooling is until I saw how many others do it. I also learned that non-religious homeschool is called secular homeschooling. Secular homeschooling is becoming more and more popular these days.

I really enjoyed writing my homeschool post earlier this week and I might just give y’all an update in the future. What I’m using is changing a lot in the 2nd half and beyond.

Other than that, I wrapped all my gifts for Christmas and helped my mom wrap hers (for everyone except me). Lots of drama happened in my husband’s workplace, but everything is fine. It wasn’t his drama.

I’m feeling pretty great and am back to reading. I have a small list of books I cannot wait to get to before 2024 is here. I just put too much on my plate at once.

Upcoming This Week

If everything goes to plan, Monday will be Winter releases, Tuesday is 24 books I want to read in 2024 (I tried to do mostly indie books), Wednesday is a WWW Wednesday, Thursday is, of course, a book tag, which I was tagged in yesterday, Friday is Let’s Talk Bookish, and Saturday I will be looking back at my 2023 reading goals.

Reading Update

I’m currently makeing my way through Tyson’s book because I’m considering it for homeschooling in the upcoming year.

I’m hoping to finish the other two before Christmas, but we will have to see. I’m finally back to reading,so I know I can do it!

ARCs on my shelf

There is nothing new to see here this week!

What I Watched

Y’all can probably guess what I’ve watched. It was Hell’s Kitchen. I’m now on season 15 and enjoying it so far. I have no idea what I’m watching next, to be honest. Maybe, The Great British Baking Show. I know I’m at least 1 season behind on that one.

One response to “The Sunday Post #20”

  1. Great line up for this upcoming weeks post. I know what you mean, we put all.this pressure on ourselves to get certain things done and read before the end of the year and it becomes quite stressful. I’ve just learned to say, whatever I’m able to accomplish is enough and it’ll be there waiting for me. Best wishes and happy holidays.
