Hello readers! It’s tag Thursday and that means we are doing another tag post. The Intimidating TBR Tag was created by OG Booktuber Peruse Project.
I think the topic of a giant and intimidating TBR is something we all can relate on.
A book you’ve been unable to finish

Though I have read Throne of Glass before, I was trying to reread it and just haven’t had any time for it. I have been stuck at chapter 10 for a few months now.
I will eventually get this book finished so I can read the rest of the series, but I’ve had a lot of projects and ARCs I’ve been focusing on. I just need to find someone to buddy read the books with or something to keep me accountable!
A book you’ve yet to be able to read because you haven’t had the time

Well, I was hoping I could get to this by the end of the year and I still hope I can, but I just don’t have time for it. I don’t have many ARCs for December, so that is helpful!
I am ready to have it read as I also want to get Crescent City 2 to read that one of these days.
A book you’ve yet been able to read because it’s a sequel

I have so many sequels I have to get to for the GCA winners and I this happens to be one. I know I don’t know the final lineup yet, but I have a good feeling this will be at the top.
A lot of people who read this really loved it and I hope I will as well!
A book you’ve yet been able to read because it’s brand new

I saw a couple of people talking about this one on IG after it came out last month. I did download it on my Kindle from KU, but I haven’t had time to get to it yet.
I have been devouring those Christmas romances this year! I started back in September. To me, Christmastime starts September 1st!
A book you’ve yet been able to read because you read another book by that author and didn’t enjoy it

The more I think about Things We Never Got Over, the less I like it. I am very sure this will be on the top ten of the GCA romance books, but I really didn’t love book one and am not excited for this one.
I am not sure what to do here, but I will at least try it for the post I’m doing.
A book you’ve yet been able to read because you haven’t been in the mood:

I seriously bought this book back in September 2020 when it came out. I just have never been in the mood to read it. I know I will eventually, but it’s more painful knowing I bought it brand new at full price and didn’t read it.
A book you’ve yet been able to read because it’s humongous

Don’t get me wrong, I did love Way of Kings, but I didn’t love how long it took me to read it. AND, this book is longer. This book is so heavy that I can barely hold it while reading.
I’m hoping to focus more on Brandon Sanderson’s book in 2024. I’m going to attempt to read the through the remaining Cosmere books I haven’t read and catch up on Skyward. I have exactly 12 unread Cosmere books, so one a month would be perfect.
A book you’ve yet been able to read because it has bad reviews
I would say anything by Colleen Hoover. I am a bit curious about her books, but I only hear the super fans or people who hate her books.
The most intimidating book on your TBR

Well, I had this idea once that I wanted to read a book by or about every president in order. I still do want to, but this book stands in my way. It’s over 900 pages and feels longer. I read over 200 pages a few years ago and just haven’t made my way through more of it since.
I currently have 2 books about presidents and one by one, but I can’t make it over the hurdle of the first book.
