A Relaxed November 2023 TBR

Hello readers! The last two months I have done readathons and big TBRs, but I am doing neither this month. For the most part, I am going to list ARCs I have and some other 2023 romance books I want to try to get to this month. I have 6 ARCs to get to this month and am feeling pretty good about that.

I kind of hit a reading slump mid-October and am just now recovering from that. It was all because of one book that was way to dang long, in my opinion. However, I’m still loving reading and am excited for my November reads.

I haven’t read from Ali Hazelwood before and I’m really excited to try her books! If you haven’t seen from my other posts where I’ve briefly mentioned it, I’m trying to read a lot of the 2023 romance GCA books and I’m going to go for ones with the most amount of ratings first. Last year, Hazelwood was the highest author behind Emily Henry and Colleen Hoover. Hoover didn’t publish a book this year, so I won’t have to try her any time soon. I don’t mind that one bit.

Also, this book has 201k ratings on GR.

I have also been recommended this book a ton by my followers on Booktok, so I’m excited to read it for them as well.

Things We Never Got Over is the first book I read for this list so I could read book 2. I didn’t hate book one, but I do think it was 300 pages too long.

This one has 226k ratings, so I know it will be on the top ten. It’s the 2nd highest behind Happy Place. I am interested, but not as excited because it is LONGER than book one. This one’s romance also centers the brother of the MMC in the previous book and the MMC’s ex girlfriend, which is so weird to me. BUT, I did like her character in book one. So, we will have to see.

I really did overall enjoy The Fine Print. It was also very long, but it didn’t bother me as much as Things We Never Got Over.

The Final Offer will most likely be on the GCA list and so I’ll be reading both of these books this month. It has nearly 150k ratings on Goodreads at this moment.

If any other books that are the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th book a series for the GCA list, I am going to skip to that book if I can. Most of these romance series follow different people in every nook, so I should be able to do it.

If I did go for all 20 books on the list, I would’ve had to read nearly 30 books because of series and I just can’t do that in this short amount of time. I’m hoping to do this again next year, but I’ll prepare better so I can do all 20.

This is the first ARC on this list of a grumpy sunshine book with a witchy anti-Christmas FMC and a the sunshine-y MMC who is back on town for Christmas to visit his mom. It has friends to enemies to lovers, spice and lots of banter.

I’m excited for all the Christmas romance right now, to be honest. Also, it comes out on the 7th if you are interested!

Behold Her comes out on the 15th. I don’t have the ARC yet, but I’m getting it at some point. It’s another romance book following the son of the couple in Maneater. He is half-succubus and half witch and the FMC plus size and I think human.

I am a little disapointed by the MMC not having pink skin like the succubus mother, but I’m still excitd for it nonetheless.

I also have Magic and Medicine as an ARC as well as the novella that she sent.

All I really know about it is that it’s a spicy paranormal romance. I found it from the Book Dragons, which you can join at the bottom of my linktree.

I thought this book came out on the 20th of October, but it turned out I was getting it on the 20th and it comes out on November 27th. I’m also planning on buying a PR box for this book next month that I’m so excited to get.

LOTS of indie authors have ones you can buy! Not all can afford to send them for free, which is totally fine.

This one is a Christmas Romance that’s has an age gap where she is the older one. It’s also best friend’s brother, forced proximity, and kind of a 2nd chance romance because they knew each other as kids.

I also have All In My Head by Meagan Spaid. This one’s publishing date was pushed back from Halloween to November 30th. It still doesn’t have a cover yet. It is a horror romance book and I should be getting to it next month if it doesn’t get pushed back again.

The last one comes out on the 1st of December and I honestly asked for because I like this author. This is his first book, but he is pretty big on indie author Booktok.

He supports a lot of other indie authors and I can only support anyone who does that.

It’s the first book in a high fantasy series following Kyra, who is chasing her destiny because of a prophecy.
