Hello readers! This is gonna be a long Sunday Post. I wanted to start out this post with telling you guys about a group that I’m in. This isn’t an ad or anything. This group was started by readers and is to help indie authors. I’ve already made a post on Booktok and Bookstagram, so I might as well invite you guys to it, too!
There are two links now in my Linktree, which is at the bottom of every post I do. One is for readers looking for a community to read ARCs with and the other is for indie authors looking for readers. It’s called the ARC Dragons.
If you are a reader, you can sign up to be put in a group on Instagram where we buddy read ARCs together. Every so often, they send emails as well for offers of ARCs to sign up for. You have no obligation to sign up for any of them, but you can sign up for as many as you are interested in. I am VERY active in the IG group. We talk about ARCs, other books, and all kinds of other things on there.
You can also suggest books for others to read or authors to check out that need ARC readers. I have just been trying to spread the word to help get it off the ground. I did not create the ARC Dragons, nor am I an admin, but I am passionate about helping indie authors. If you are interested, check out the forms on the bottom of my Linktree! I hope to see y’all there!
If you are an indie author and you are struggling to find ARC readers, you can submit the form to get the ARC Dragons to read your book! I hate seeing the authors struggling. It’s usually those authors who don’t write what is really, really popular on Tik Tok that struggle.
The Sunday Post and the thumbnail I’m using were created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!
Life Update:
It has been a CRAZY week. This week we took in a 17 (almost 18) year old who works with my husband. I’ve mentioned before that my husband works as a manager-in-training at McDonald’s. His brother, who also lives with us, works there as well.
As a result, they work with a ton of teens. One in particular got kicked out of his mothers house, for the 2nd time this year, and had nowhere to go. So, now he lives with us. Please just don’t have children if you plan to kick them out at 17 OR EVEN right at 18. There is no reason to for it. It’s also literally a crime.
It’s also hard to find a friend to go stay with when all your friends are high schoolers, who also live with their parents.
This teen also has a baby, of which he is not the custodial parent. We are all trying to help with that as well. My husband is the custodial parent of his daughter and we have also been on the other side of that. So, we know how difficult co-parenting can be. Although, I didn’t meet my husband until his daughter was a year old.
We took in my BIL 2 years ago because their dad was taking all of his money and we stepped in. We don’t appreciate abuse of any kind and no one should.
I also hit 600 on my Bookstagram this week! I am almost to 1500 on Booktok and I am planning to do a giveaway at 2k. So, right now would be a great time to give me a follow over there! My hope is to give someone a book off their Amazon Wishlist that is an indie author.
A milestone I’ve reached here is than this is my 43rd day posting in a row! I am not planning on taking any days off for the rest of the year, unless I skip a WWW Wednesday.

Reading Update:

I am currently in the middle of 4 books. My reading is still going very slow this week, but I’m planning to get it together next week, cos I need to start my October ARCs.
Glass and Bone is an ARC, but was accidently released early on KU. So, you can read it now if you would like to IF you have Kindle Unlimited.
Actually, this author sent me some merch from her book! I have never been sent something by an author before. She sent all her ARC readers things. We all got one bookmark, one sticker, and the little card that looks like the book.
If you look at the 2nd photo, you can see the message she wrote on the card. I was just so happy to get anything, to be honest.
I believe she is also selling the bookmarks and stickers on her website after this book comes out.
On My Shelf:

I have Darius on Libby still and Jack Frost on Hoopla. I am reading Jack Frost on KU as well, but I needed to do some housework yesterday and I wanted to also read that specific book.
It is hard to prioritize reading AND housework. 😂
What I Watched:
This week I’ve been rewatching Masterchef, which is leaving Hulu soon, but so am I. I got this email that Hulu is raising to 18 dollars in October. Absolutely NOT.
I also saw that Halloween Baking Championship is on MAX, so I hope Holiday Baking Championship is coming soon, too! I don’t really care for Halloween. I feel like a bad bookworm. I feel like all bookworms love Halloween and I never have, not even as a kid.
