Hello readers! It’s time for a Tell Me Something Tuesday post. Do you prefer Tell Me Something Tuesday or Top Ten Tuesday? I like being able to switch between them because I can’t always thing of something for given topics.

This weeks topic: Libraries: do you prefer to visit in-person or check out on-line?

I really love libraries. When it comes to visiting in person or online, I do both!

I love going in person to check out books at times. It’s fun to go as a family! We all get to go to different areas in the library and check stuff out. For my daughter and husband, they usually go for the movies, but me and my BIL go for graphic novels. I really prefer to read graphic novels in print. Especially because the app my library has for them is only on my phone and it’s too much work to read a graphic novel on a phone, in my opinion.

The library also helped me and my husband out a lot in 2018/2019 when we were doing college and would sometimes not be able to pay for our internet bill. The library I used to go to then had a whole study area that was amazing.

In 2019, I also discovered Libby and found audiobooks. I know I couldn’t have read as many books as I have in the past 4 years without those audiobooks. Of course, I had listened to some before on Audible, but that was expensive. Libby and Hoopla give access to people who don’t have it! My library also has a delivery option for those people who cannot leave their homes as an accesibility option.

I can say, I have used my library much less this year specifically, but not on purpose. In the 2nd half of 2023, I got Kindle Unlimited, so that has been taking up a lot of my time. BUT, I still do use Libby and Hoopla on occasion.
