The Sunday Post #10

Hello readers! It’s Sunday again. This month is going QUICK for me. Anyone else feel that way? I feel like this year has gone really slow for me, but September is speeding past.

Be sure to follow me on Booktok and Bookstagram if you are intersted in ARCs. I share ARCs on Booktok multiple times a day and I also share them on Bookstagram as well as different giveaways I see on IG.

The Sunday Post and the thumbnail I’m using were created by The Caffeinated Reader. In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!

Life Update:

This week I have started back up working on homeschooling. We don’t start it up until late in September. In the last year, I have been making everything myself on Google Docs. I used to buy workbooks, but they just don’t work as much for us anyomore. We are entering the 5th grade and making these worksheets is only taking more and more time.

The subject I have left are math and history. We are learning about WWI for the first half of 5th grade and then making our way to WWII. That subject just takes so much research!

Other than that, MY POWER WENT OUT AGAIN! I cannot believe this. Since June when my power went out for 3 days, we have lost power 3 or 4 other times. It’s getting ridiculous. This time a transformer caught fire down the road from me.

My dog, Padme, is doing much better. She was having tummy trouble on top of everything else but it’s fine now. She is out of heat and no longer has her hematomas in her ears or itchy skin. However, she does still have a few scabs left to heal.

Reading Update:

Ruinous Notion is my last ARC that comes out this month. I wanted to get all my ARCs in that come out in September by the 15th because I know I’m getting a few more then.

I just started it and I’m still not sure about Theo. He was the catalyst that caused the 3rd act breakup in both the previous books. He is THE WORST. I am still hoping he can tur around and stop being the worst.

A City of Emeralds and Ency finally came out! I saw this author was looking for ARC readers in early August and I wanted to read both of the previous books by the time it came out and I did it! This series is one of my favorites of all time now and she still has another one coming out later this year. I can’t wait to dive into her backlist as well. She has like 30 books and they are all retellings of different things.

On My Shelf:

This week I have Dark Lover and the prequel Darius on my shelf on Libby. I know this is an old series, but I really want to try it!

I think it’s a series of romance books about vampire hunters who might also be vampires. I’m not sure if they aren’t or are. Each book follows a different person in the brotherhood.

It’s in that section where it says Readers Also Enjoyed for Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. If it has the same vibes as that series, I know I’m going to love it.

What I Watched:

I am back to rewatching Masterchef. I’m currently on season 3. My husband and I haven’t been watching anything together lately. His hours have changed, so we don’t have as much time together unless he has a day off.
