Stacking the Shelves #4

Hello readers! This week I joined Bookbub. I hadn’t heard of it before this week and now I have access to a bunch of free Kindle books and cheap ones, too. I got a few ARCs this week and some others on my Kindle for myself and my daughter, who is 10. She doesn’t love to read like me, but she does have a Kindle and I will be adding some books to it just in case she decided to read one.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Reading Reality. You can click the link to get all the details, but in short, it is for sharing your new books!

~ ARCs ~

I cannot believe I got this book on Netgalley. I seriously applied for it thinking I would most likely get rejected.

If you don’t know, each odd numbered book in this seires follows a storyline (this is 9), and each even numbered book gives a backstory on a character. There is only supposed to be 10 books, so is this the last book in the main storyline? I’m not sure, but what I am excited about is dinosaurs on the cover. I can’t wait to see what dinosaur-filled world our characters venture into!

Forgotten Vows comes out on September 6th and will be on KU! It follows a woman who has lost about a decade of memeory. Her emergency contact at the hospital was her ex-husband, who she doesn’t remember. The story is a 2nd chance romance between the two of them.

Glass and Bone comes out on October 3rd, so I wont be reading it till mid to late September.

I simply got The Roommate Risk because it’s by Talia Hibbert and I haven’t read anything by her yet. I know she is a very popular author in the romance genre.

Jasmine Allen doesn’t believe in love but finds herself in need of a place to stay after a plumbing disaster. She turns to her best friend Rahul, who has always had feelings for her but has kept them hidden. Despite knowing that their closeness is precarious, they start living together, leading to a growing temptation to confess their true feelings.

I am mutuals with this author on Tik Tok, so I decided to get his book and see how I like it. It’s also on KU!

Ren Anonymous Rogers is a neurodivergent LGBTQIA teen enrolled in New Horizons School. The first book of a trilogy follows her as she navigates her first semester, encountering diverse students with various struggles. They engage in hands-on activities, share cultures, and foster acceptance and celebration of each other. Ren’s poetry, rap, journals, and letters are woven throughout the book.

This one is technically YA, but I thought my daughter might enjoy it anyway. It has a girl living alone in space with dogs. What could be better?
