Life Updates
These last two weeks have been somewhat busy. My husband is officially a manager in training as of this last Wednesday. He already got the promotion, but he didn’t start the job until then. He also received a small raise as he has been there 90 days now.
I hit 500 followers on Instagram and 1300 on Tik Tok!
We also got a car! We had a really nice 2019 vehicle back in December 2021. Is it bad that I don’t remember what kind? I am not good at cars. I have some sort of car blindness. Most cars just look the same to me.
In February 2022, someone hit my husband a few blocks from our house and totaled our car. Then, the guy who towed the car to our house ran over our mailbox!
Mid-2022, my husband and his brother got a car together, but it really was my BILs car. It was in his name after all. With BILs support, he was able to get his own again. It’s now a 2003 Mercury. I think it’s a Mountaineer? My husband is not with me as I’m writing this, so I cannot ask. Despite its age, its a very reliable car. It has heated seats, which our old car had. I really missed those. It is August right now, so I won’t be using them now, but in the winter, I’ll use the crap out of them.
Can y’all believe my power went out again yesterday? This is the third time this year! It was only for about 4 hours this time, but its been in the 90’s this week. It’s too dang hot for that nonsense.

Reading Update
Silverskin is a last minute ARC I am reading and Faultless Notion is the first book in a rockstar romance series. I have an ARC for book 3. The author said they can be read separately, though. The first two books are on KU, so I couldn’t help but to try at least book 1.
On My Shelf
The only book I have right now on my Libby shelf is Their Vicious Games by Joelle Wellington. I am very slowly reading this one. I thought it would be more of a thriller than it is, but I still enjoy it so far.
What I Watched
We are just over 300 episodes into Naruto Shippuden. We haven’t had a lot of time to watch it lately.
My husband and I started Good Omens. We watched 3 episodes before he decided he didn’t like it. I might watch it by myself in the future, but not right now. When I watch TV alone, I prefer to watch stuff with real people in it.
I finally finished The Great Food Truck Race!
I also started Shiny Happy People. Did anyone else watch the Duggars as a kid? I have enjoyed hearing about IBLP this year. Not only did I read Jinger Duggar’s book this year, I also started the Leaving Eden podcast that talks about the IBLP cult the Duggars are in. Watching Happy Shiny People is heartbreaking.
