Alli the Book Giraffe

Hello readers! Today’s post is about my 3rd blogiversary. I cannot believe I’ve been doing this three years now.

In my first Blogiversary post, I created a tag with another blogger named Leaf Pages. Unfortunately, they haven’t made any content in the last year.

As shown in that post, this was my very first logo. Honestly, it was very difficult to make this in paint on my computer. I didn’t know anything about creating thumbnails or anything back then.

I originally started out on Wix in August 2020 and came here in February of 2021. I had started an account on Skillshare and was watching a bunch of videos on how to start a blog. Someone on there said that you don’t actually own your blog on WordPress, so it convinced me not to start here. I honestly should not have listened to that person.

By the time 2021 came around, I was regretting starting over on Wix. I almost didn’t do it at all! I started uploading my posts from there to here a few days before actually posting here and I the rest is history.

I reached 200 followers this month, which is amazing. I am honestly more involved in the book community on WordPress now than ever. I have lost my passion for this blog a few times, but I always find my way back.

I’d like to direct everyone to my post from last Saturday where I try to convince people to join the community! I don’t think you will regret being on this side of the internet. There are people on whatever platform you choose that will consume your content.
