I don’t really watch cartoons, at least not TV show cartoons. However, I can name some of my favorite anime. Some may argue that anime is a subgenre of cartoons, but I digress. My absolute favorite anime is Bleach, but Naruto is a close second.
What is Your Favorite Song Right Now
Right now my favorite songs are Sippy Cup by Melanie Martinez, American Horror Show by Snow Wife, Hate Rodrigo by Choi Yena, Bouncy by Ateez, and Super Shy by New Jeans.
What Could You Do For Hours (That isn’t Reading)?
Blogging and shopping! Even if I don’t buy anything, I love spending time walking around stores. Book stores are obviously the best!
What is Something You Love to Do That Your Followers Would be Surprised By?
I think they’d be surprised to find that I love kpop. I’ve been a kpop fan since 2019. I started out listening to mainly BTS, but I don’t listen to them much anymore. My absolute favorite group is Ateez! Do you listen to kpop?
I used to live for music as a teen. Music was my entire world and when I found kpop, it reignited my love for music. I don’t care if I can’t fully understand them.
What is Your Favorite Unnecessarily Specific Thing to Learn About?
Well, I’m austistic, so I have a lot of special interest. One of my interests is learning about disabilites. I watch quite a few people on Tik Tok and YT who are disabled. I know more than I would ever need to about so much.
I also love to learn about other cultures. When I got into kpop, it wasn’t the first time I was a fan of music in another language. I used to love Tokio Hotel, who sing in German and English. I listened to their music in both languages. I’ve listened to many groups all over the world.
My last special interest is pop culture. I used to be very obsessed with traditional celebrities. Now, I just watch drama channels on YT. I miss the times when all the drama on YouTube wasn’t centered around things that illegal.
What is Something Unusual You Know How to Do?
I can read written Korean called Hangul. I’ve also been teaching myself to read Japanese. They have 2 alphabets called Katakana and Hiragana. I know a decent amount of ASL. Not enough to be close to fluent.
Another unusual thing I can do is make a fire. I went camping for a few weeks earlier this year and learned that most people cannot make a fire or keep it going.
Name Something You’ve Made in the Last Year.
In the last year, I’ve made some new recipies for the first time. I made chicken noodle soup from scratch. I’ve made quiche, except for the crust. I also made a chicken and lentil soup, but there was way too many lentils. I have cooked and eaten red lentils before in dahl, but it was different with green ones in a soup. I also make cookies for the dogs during Thanksgiving and Christmastime. I feel so bad eating so many desserts in front of them!
I wanted to try making pies this year from scratch, but I’ve only made that one quiche with crust I bought.
What is Your Most Recent Personal Project?
I’ve been working on another post similar to my Reading the Book Communities Best of 2023 so far. I really enjoyed reading books that were curated in that way. I love the idea of the community being brought into one post or video!

I think about this blog often. One of the first things I have been doing each day is checking for any new comments and trying to share my posts across social media. Losing the ability to post for as long as I did really made me see how much I enjoyed it.

Staying on the topic of food from the question, my oddly specific favorite food is dessert. I love baking! When I try out a new recipe for a cake and get to eat it for the first time is my favorite.
