Hello readers! Today’s post centers around the unread ebooks on my Kindle. I made a post like this over 2 years ago and thought it would be a great time for an update.
I first received a first generation Kindle Fire for Christmas back in 2012. I really didn’t want it when I got it and never thought I would use it. That turned out not to be the case! I ended up using it a ton over the next few years.
When I first did this post, I had bought a new Kindle Fire because Amazon removed the ability to use the Amazon store on my old one. I still have the old one and it works perfectly! It just can’t access the store or anything anymore. I now have a Kindle Fire 7.
I’m not going to lie, some of these books have been on my Kindle since the first year I had it and may never be read.
Ebooks

I bought this book right at the end of the vampire craze and the beginning of the dystopian era. It was the first book I ever bought on my Kindle! I did watch the show just a little and decided to get to the book series.
I now just find it a bit weird that a love triangle is between two brothers. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good love triangle, but no one can win at the end of a familial love triangle.
I really hope vampire romances come back into popularity one day. I used to almost exclusively read vampire books! Will I ever read this series? Well, I’m not going to say never, but I don’t see myself reading it anytime soon.

Now, this book has also sat on my Kindle for the better part of a decade. I haven’t read it nor have I seen the movie. I know it centers the topic of suicide and the author has since committed suicide himself since writing it.
It’s hard for me to read books knowing they will be sad. This one will hit even harder knowing what happened to the author since. However, I will eventually get to it one day.

Y’all, it’s time to admit I haven’t read a Maggie Stiefvater book before! Ok, I did try to read Shiver a few years ago and I didn’t mesh with it. However, I do think I would like The Raven Boys, if I gave it a chance.
Let me know if you’ve read this one and if I should give it a chance soon!

I have to admit, Fight Club is one of my favorite movies! I’ve wanted to read Fight Club for a long time. Is it as compelling as the movie? I would love to know! It could be a potential favorite if that is the case.

Out of every book I own on my Kindle, I am honestly not sure what made me want to buy this. I remember that I used to own a physical copy of it, too.
I don’t really enjoy the idea of zombie stories in any form. There are exceptions like The Walking Dead, but even that took me a while to get into. Back when I bought this, I hadn’t watched The Walking Dead before, so I’m still baffled.

Like most people, I have some free classics on my Kindle as well. Madame Bovary is a classic of the Realism era, which I don’t enjoy. However, I still wanted to give it a try!
I haven’t really been reading classics in the past two or so years, but I know I’ll get in the mood for them again and fly through this one.

Sure thing! So, I came across the Beachfront Bakery series by Fiona Grace in 2021/2022. The first book in all her series are actually free on Kindle! So, I quickly grabbed these two. But, I have to admit, I haven’t gotten around to reading them just yet.

Amazon had been giving away a bunch of books in 2021 for World book day and these three were on the list. I didn’t even look at the description! I can’t pass up free books. The Broken Circle is a nonfiction, so I could see myself reading that one before any of the others. Did you get any of the free books in April 2021?

Back before Jennifer L. Armentrout was big in the book community for her Blood and Ash series, she had this enemies to lovers paranormal/alien romance series.
Onyx is the 2nd book in the Lux series. I read the first book in the series in the early 2010s and reread it a few years ago. I got this one on my Kindle a year or so ago to continue, but I just haven’t yet.

This is the 2nd book in the Emily the Strange series. In book one, EMily wakes up with a journal on a park bench with no memories. She has to journey through this small and eerie town to find out what happened to her. It’s in a format similar to Diary of a Wimpy Kid. A series of journal entries complimented by drawings. Book one was so good! I want to reread it before diving into this one and the rest of the series.

Twice Tempted is the 2nd book in the Night Prince series. This is a companion series to Frost’s Night Huntress series. I have so many of her books on my Kindle and this is the only one I own that is unread.
I have been making my way thrgouh the entire Night Huntress Universe once again. I have a ton to reread and quite a few I haven’t gotten to just yet. This book should be read either later this year on in 2024. There are 30 books total in the entire universe, so it’ll take a while.

I was browsing the free books on Kindle a few weeks ago and I found both of these books. I sort of just picked them by the cover and ratings.
What is the best free book you’ve downloaded on Kindle?
Audiobooks

I own a physical copy of this book and an audiobook, yet I still haven’t read it! There isn’t any excuse at this point! I bought this one at the time because Libby doesn’t have it.
One of these days I will get to reading this book and the whole series, I’m just not sure when that will be.

This is yet another book I own on audio and physical. I don’t enjoy Cassandra Clare as an author, but I did read her Moral Instruments series all the way through. I want to like her books.
Honestly, reading the Mortal Instruments made me learn a lot about my reading and what I do and don’t like. Even though I don’t enjoy her books, I find them valuable in a different way.
I have owned the audiobook version for around a decade though and I don’t know when I’ll get to it.
