Hello readers! Today’s post is another tag. This is one I haven’t seen a lot of people do, so let me know if you have. Have you ever been tagged in a tag? I sure have not actually been tagged before. Of course, that doesn’t stop me or anyone else from doing them!

The I’ll Get Around to It Later book tag was created by Quote, Unquote.
A classic book that you have been meaning to read forever but haven’t yet

This was actually really hard! I haven’t really been reading classics the last two years or so and it really isn’t on purpose.
When it comes to classics, I really love French classics from the Enlightenment and Romantic eras. If you haven’t looked into famous literary eras, I highly recommend it! Especially if you don’t know what you are looking for in a classic.
I’ve been meaning to read from Dimas for a while and I need to just dive into one of his books! He also happens to be a black author. Classics by POC authors are definitely harder to come by.
A book on your shelf that you haven’t read yet

Y’all I bought this book the month it came out for the full price of a new release and still haven’t read it. This book just sits on my shelf and haunts me! I’ll eventually get around the reading it, I think.
A book that you got recently that you haven’t read

I waited for YEARS until the paperback came out of this to read it. I finally bought a copy and it has sat on my nightstand every night since I got it. I am hopefully getting to it this summer, but we will just have to see.
A book that you’ve had forever but haven’t read

This is for sure my oldest unread book. I bought this boxed set on eBay in like 2014, I want to say. I still have this one and The Hobbit to read. The copies I have are very old and fragile, so I think I want to get another set to actually read from.
A book a friend recommended that you haven’t read

I don’t know a lot of people in my real ife who actually read. My husband and I usually read the same books. Either he will read my recommendations or I will read a book he read if he likes it. Therefore, it was hard to find a book I know he’s read that I haven’t!
I know he loves this series because he owns a copy of the books! Julie Kagawa is an author I have never tried and I might read this series one day. It is one of his faves!
A book you’re procrastinating on

I started a new goal 2 or 3 years ago to read a book by or about every single president, in order. I have started this book, but it’s just so LONG! I read over 100 pages in it and quit. Libby recently got a copy of this book, so I could use that to help me through it. It was interesting, just really long.
I checked on Goodreads and Washington: A Life is 904 pages long. It is so thorough that it starts before Washington is even born. It tells you every random detail about him from his diseases to his love of fashion to the way he obtained so many slaves.
The next book on your TBR
To be honest, I might pick up The Count of Monte Cristo soon! This post has sparked my interest in these books again. It is over 1000 pages, but I think it’ll be worth trying.
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
