Never Have I Ever…read a later book in a series before reading the first book

I did do this, but never on purpose! Last year I read The Widowmaker by Hannah Morrissey. When I read it, I kept thinking I was missing something, and it turned out I was. It did not indicate on NetGalley or Goodreads at the time that it was the 2nd book in the series.

I have not done this. I would never burn a book! I would sell and old book or find a Little Free Library instead.

Never Have I Ever…read a book I knew I would hate

I can confess I have hate read a book series. It was the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I do have detailed reviews of most the books on my Goodreads. I was hoping to get to the end and enjoy it, at least a little bit. However, I knew I wouldn’t like the books going in.

I know my negative reviews are not going to hurt Clare in the long run. I bought the books with my own money and still have them.

Never Have I Ever…wrote a fanfiction about my favorite books

I can honestly say I haven’t dabbled in fanfiction. I haven’t even read fanfiction before, to be honest.

Never Have I Ever…loved a book when I was young and hated it when I got older

I think most of us can say we question the books we loved as teens. I have 51 books in my favorites on Goodreads. I don’t take books out, so they ones I added 12 years ago are still there. I remember reading Summer of My German Soldier in school. It was a required books, by the way. Looking back, it is so weird that I enjoyed a book about a Jewish girl and a Nazi prisoner falling in love. Why on earth would my school have me read that?

Never Have I Ever…dressed up as one of my favorite literary characters

I did dress up as a manga character once! I dressed up at Misa Amane when the Japanese live action Death Note came out. I went to see the movie dressed as her and my boyfriend at the time dressed as L.

That was one of the best experiences seeing a movie in theatre. All the fans of Death Note there really made the experience amazing!

I really wish the Japanese movies were on Hulu or something. The Netflix one was absolute GARBAGE compared.

Never Have I Ever…hated a book by an author I love

This has happened to me plenty of times! I have read two books by Lisa Jewell that I hated including Watching You and The Family Remains. I really hated Spells Trouble by P.C Cast. Then there is Stephen King. I think my least favorite book by him is The Institute.

There is always a chance of disliking a favorite authors book, but somehow its worse than disliking any other authors book.

Never Have I Ever…gone into a bookstore to buy one book and come out with many more

I always try to have books in mind when going into the store, but there is always a good deal! I always visit the bargain section and try to find used books. What can I say, I love a good deal!

Never Have I Ever…read the end of a book before reading the beginning

I used to do this silly thing when I was young where I read the last sentence in a book before reading the book. Why did I do this? I genuinely don’t know. I think I wanted to be different, but I’m not sure.

I always take the jacket off when I read hardbacks. I know it’ll end up looking terrible if I keep it on. Yes, this does cause me to lose the jacket on occasion, but it always turns up.
