Hello readers! Today’s post is a new one here. I am changing my schedule a bit and posting tags on Thursdays now. So, when I don’t do a Book Blogger Hop on Sundays, this is the post you will see. This is a long-ish post, alot longer than usualy for me, but it’s worth it.
The Sunday Post and the thumbnail I’m using was created by The Caffeinated Reader.
In The Sunday Post, you share news each week with your audience. This can be personal, book news, blog news, or anything else you want. Click the creator’s name for more details!
Every person does this post a little differently. I’ve looked over dozens of different people’s posts to see what they do each week and I think I finally have a formula I’m happy with. It could change in the future, but we will see.
Personal Life
I don’t really talk much about my personal life on here. I guess I’m just not sure if anyone cares about that sort of thing. This last week I have been working on finding a doctor, within a reasonable range of where I live, to test me for Autism at my age. Most places don’t diagnose over 18 and I’m 29. There are a lot of pros and cons to being diagnosed, but I just need the validation.
I’m also working on becoming affiliates with some international online book stores. I was looking at my viewership the other day and noticed I get viewers from all over the world. I’d like to do more to cater to them! I am also considering reading books from the most popular countries who view my posts.
On Alli the Book Giraffe’s blog last week
I posted 5 times this last week and here are those posts if you missed them!
Sunday the 11th – Book Blogger Hop for June 9-15, Do you still read children’s books?
Monday the 12th – Down the TBR Hole #4
Tuesday the 13th – Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 Bookish Wishes
Wednesday the 14th- WWW Wednesday
Friday the 16th – Every Book I Own #8
Next week on the blog
I am planning to post 4 to 6 times a week going forward. Including this post, I’ll have 5 posts up, unless I do a WWW Wednesday. I don’t really decide whether I’m going those until Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
Tomorrow (Monday), the post going out is 10 new releases coming out this summer. Most of them are LGBT or POC! Tuesday‘s post is the Top Ten Tuesday for the week. Thursday is my first Tag Thursday post. It’s a remake of the Reader Problems Book Tag that I did back in August 2021. Lastly, Friday‘s post is this week’s Let’s Talk Bookish post.
Reading Update
As of right now, I have read 6 books this month, including all the books on my June TBR. I don’t think I’ve ever read through an entire TBR post. I know, I know. It was a short TBR, so it wasn’t hard to get through.

I am currently not reading anything, but I hope to start Figure It Out, Henri Weldon today. It’s a 2023 middle grade book about a girl with dyscalculia who is starting a new school. Dyscaculia is just like dyslexia, but for math. I have a cousin who suffers with both, so I’m excited to see a book from this perspective.
New books this week
I debated adding this section because I don’t obtain physical books all the time, but I do get books on Libby and from the library a lot, so I might as well share that.
This week on Libby, I have Figure It Out, Henri Wledon, of course. Other than that, I have Finders Keepers by Stephen King. I’m also next in line for Maame by Jessica George.
I haven’t been to the library or the book store since I’ve been back, but I hope to go to the library soon!
What I’ve Watched
I’ve debated making a monthly post on here about the movies and shows I watch, but I’m not sure if I should. However, I can always tell you right here!
Last week, I finished the most recent season of the British Baking Show/British Bake Off. The title is different depending on where you live. I know I’m late to catching up on the show, but I made it there eventually. I disagree with most people about Paul Hollywood’s smores! I was looking into his recipe for the fancy smores and found nothing but hate about them.
Other than that, I was watching Markiplier (a YouTuber) playing Five Nights at Freddy’s. The movie is coming out later this year and I wanted to get into the lore and games. However, I don’t think I will be playing the games myself. I’m more of a relaxed game type of person. Like Animal Crossing, for instance.
New Book Releases
This area will be for books coming out this week that are on my radar. I only have one this week, but I’m going to try to have more in the upcoming weeks.

This is a slasher following Charity. She has this job at a summer camp, but it’s not a traditional one. This is a summer camp used as a haunted house of sorts. In the last week of the summer, her coworkers start to actually go missing and she has to figure out what is going on.
