Alli the Book Giraffe

Hello readers! Today’s post is a TBR. I haven’t done one of these in a while, but I’m getting back into it. I don’t know if I’ll be up to reading a ton of books, but I have my eye on a few. I was hoping to find a readathon to do this month to encourage me to read a bit more, but I couldn’t find one I was interested in.

I keep seeing reviews lately about the autism representation in this series, particularly from non-autistc reviewers. As an autistic person, I am intrigued to see for myself if it is or isn’t good.

I’m really not trying to be rude, I’m just tired of seeing the non-autistic readers’ opinions on the representation that doesn’t involve them.

Surprisingly, I don’t actually own this book! I own so many Stephen King books, but I never got around to buying this series.

Other than that, all I know about this one of those thrillers that follows an ex-police officer. I haven’t read a lot of mystery or thrillers like that so I don’t know what my opinions are on the trope. If I enjoy this one, I will be reading the rest of the trilogy, along with everything else Holly is in.

Before my slump, I was rereading/reading through the Wayward Children series and didn’t get to this one.

Book 8 follows a character named Antoinette, who made a very brief appearance in book 7. She finds herself in a world where lost things end up, including herself. I know this one is going to be just as amazing as the rest of the series.

I’m in the mood lately for thrillers and mystery books and this one has been available to me on Libby for a while. I have been pushing it back, as I haven’t been reading, but I’m hyped to read it soon!

This one is about a girl named Ruthy who goes missing one day and how it affects her family over the next few years. A few years later, one of the family members thinks they recognize a person on TV as Ruthy, but they aren’t sure.

After seeing who they think is Ruthy on the screen, they venture to the filming location to meet this person and find out if it really is her.
