Book Buffet Readathon TBR

Hello readers! I finally found a readathon to do in August. I miss doing them every month because they give me a lot of motivation to read! I found this readathon a few days ago, after posting my regular TBR, so now we have a BONUS TBR for August.

The Book Buffet Readathon was created by Booktubers Rosie Cockshutt, Amrita by the Book, Bookmarks and Breadsticks, and Potatobrian. The Book Buffet also has an Instagram where you can find the template below.

I’m not really planning on going off the bingo board myself. I just want to read some foodie books that I’ve wanted to read for a long time, but I will be reading the group book!

This is the third book in a foodie cozy-mystery series about Allison Sweet, a 34-year-old woman who opens a bakery after leaving a long-term relationship and job.

I’m really enjoying read this one and I’m glad it isn’t so long. I feel like a lot of these series are already 20+ books and are hard to catch up to.

Sweethand is about Cherisse, whose sister is getting married. Keiran, the groom’s best friend is also attending this wedding and Cherisse doesn’t like him one bit. They are forced together more and more in this enemies to lovers romance.

This seems like a really cute romance and I’ve only heard good things from reviewers!

This one is a middle grade book about two girls, Sara, a Pakinstani-American, and Elizabeth, a Jewish-Brit. I’m not sure which country this takes place in.

They are both very different, but come together in a South-Asian cooking class they take together. They then have to come together to make an amazing dish to win a spot on a cooking show.

I’ve been wanting to read this for TOO LONG now and I’m excited to get to it 🙂

These are the 2nd and 3rd books in the Love Sugar Magic series, which is a middle grade series about a girl who finds out she is a bruja, or a witch. Her family is made up of a bunch of kitchen witches and her mother owns a bakery.

The first book in this series reminded me a lot of a Disney show episode. She finds out she is a witch and then gets herself in a pickle trying to use magic when she really doesn’t know how to. I’m excited to finish this series this month as I haven’t read many books in series lately.

Kitchen Confidential is the group book for this readathon. I did find it on Hoopla, so I’ll be trying it out. I’ve never read a book by a chef before and I’m not sure why that is.

I do LOVE baking and cooking shows, but I actually haven’t watched anything with Bourdain in it and I just might have to try to in the future.

Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
