Three Bookish Things Book Tag

Hello readers! Today I am bringing you a tag. I have searched the internet far and wide and no one seems to know who created this tag, but if I find out, I will give them credit later on. I wasn’t tagged by anyone to do this, but that hasn’t stopped me before.

I am a person who hates picking favorite things, so I expect this will be really challenging for me, but I’m excited to try it anyways.

3 read once and loved authors

3 titles I’ve watched but haven’t read

I love this question! I am someone who prefers to see movies/TV shows first. I just find myself watching a movie/tv show AFTER reading and hating the whole thing because they didn’t do the book justice. However, if I watch the movie first, I’ll find the changes interesting and not annoying.

3 series binges

3 characters I love

1- Aled from Radio Silence. He is probably my favorite character of all time. I just think we need more stories about best friends because I always love best friend characters.

2- Kenji from Shatter Me. Another best friend character. I love characters who are sassy and witty. Kenji is the life of the Shatter Me series!

3- Bryce from House of Earth and Blood. I’m so tired of seeing perfect female MCs in books. Bryce is the opposite of what we usually see. I like that she is a little bit girly, bad ass, and sassy all at once.

3 favorite book covers

3 weirdest things used as a bookmark

1- I have most definitely used my phone as a bookmark.

2- Also, remotes for the TV or whatnot. I just use whatever I see closest

3- Food wrappers is most common along with napkins. Sometimes I have been reading more than 1 book at a time and I don’t have enough bookmarks to cover my needs.

3 favorite authors

Stephen King – I’m sure you all have heard me talk about Stephen King and how he made me a reader. I will always name him first when asked my favorite author.

Sophie Kinsella – This is an author I found sort of by accident. A lot of people were reading her book Finding Audrey back in 2015 and I just never stopped reading her books since.

Alex Gino (they/them) – Gino only has 3 books, but I have read all 3. I love the messages their books bring to middle grade. If you are looking to read more diversely, middle grade is a great place to go.

3 unpopular opinions

  • Despite loving fantasy romance, I don’t care for smut. I am ace, so smut doesn’t do much for me. However, I am not aromantic and I love to see romances. I find it hard to get on board with most romance, but I don’t have as much trouble with fantasy romance and with regular, contemporary, or historical romance.
  • I really dislike when a book is labeled magical realism and the last 25% of the book is explaining to us why the magic might not be real or in the MCs head.
  • 3 popular authors I don’t like are Neil Gaiman, Riley Sagar, and Jay Kristoff. Not personally, just based on their books.

3 book goals for the year

1- I’m starting a new goal to try to read the world that starts in July. I am hoping to read 3 or more books each month for that.

2- I’m trying to read 3 books in any series each month. So far, that has been going well.

3- I originally wanted to read 150 books in 2021, but I have upped it to 200. I’m going to have a ton of posts in July about all these goals.

Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
