Hello readers! As of Monday, I am 100% vaccinated now. I am feeling pretty good now that is over with. Today I am bringing you a last minute TBR for the Do the thing-athon. I didn’t fully plan on doing this until just a few days ago. So, here we are.
I love doing readathons! They are so motivating to me. This readathon was created by Booktuber Ashleigh from A Frolic Through Fiction. The goal of it is to read books toward your reading goals for the year. It is from the 24th to the 30th. There is also a Twitter, if you want to check that out. This is just a fun and relaxed readathon where you can set your own goals and TBR.
I usually do extremely well on my yearly reading goals. However, I haven’t paid much attention to them this year. Last month, I actually started making monthly goals. I don’t share them, but let me know if I should! I will share my monthly goals if my followers would like to see them.
I think my two main themes are going to be reading within series AND reading books I currently own. I have acquired a ton of books this year so far, and I need to whittle down my TBR a bit. An update to my owned TBR is coming in June. I do them once every 3 months and I can’t believe it has been almost 3 months since the last one! I took a look the other day at my March one, and I have only read 3 books on that list. I think the cause is that I have recently started going back to the library, so most of my reading is coming from there and not my own library.

There are 4 books in the Descendants series, but I only own 3 so far. I started this series a really long time ago, so I hope to get to both books two and three done. I have seen all the movies, now I just need to catch up on these books!
The Descendants series is about these 4 teens, who are the children of infamous Disney villains. In this world, all the Disney villains were put on an island together and there is a spell on the island, so they can’t leave. The 4 MCs are allowed to leave the island as a test and come to the place where the heroines and heroes live. This is because they feel bad for punishing the children of the villains for their parent’s crimes.

This series has a total of 9 books, and I own every single one. Shopaholic and Baby and Mini Shopaholic are books 5 and 6, which would make me nearly to the end! This does not seem to be a well loved series in the book community, and I can see why. Becky never seems to learn any sort of lesson. HOWEVER, I still want to see how it all ends!
TW: addiction and spiraling thoughts of said addiction

I mentioned this one in my last WWW Wednesday post, but I am doing a readalong on Instagram of this book. I do own it, so it counts! Also, I will be finishing on the last day of this readathon, so I thought I would include it here, too. I have been having a little bit of trouble with falling behind the group, but not TOO MUCH.
I would just be happy having 5 less books to add to my TBR update in June!
Happy blogging and bookish adventures! 📚🦒✨
